  1. Global Admin Approval Required: Ensure that a global administrator in the M365 organization is performing the following steps.

  2. Find the OMNI App in the Enterprise Applications:

    • Sign in to the Azure portal with a global administrator account.
    • Navigate to "Azure Active Directory" > "Enterprise applications".
    • Use the search bar to find the OMNI app.
  3. Review and Configure Permissions:

    • Click on the OMNI app to open its settings.
    • Go to "Permissions" under "Security" and review the permissions requested by the OMNI app.
    • Ensure that the necessary permissions (e.g., Mail.Read, Mail.Send, User.Read, etc.) are listed and appropriate for the app's functionality.
  4. Grant Admin Consent:

    • Navigate to "API permissions".
    • Click the "Grant admin consent for [your organization]" button. This action approves the requested permissions for all users in the organization.
  5. Assign Users and Groups:

    • Go to "Users and groups" under the OMNI app settings.
    • Click "Add user" and assign the relevant users or groups who need access to the OMNI app.
    • Ensure that the assigned users have the necessary roles and permissions to use the app.
  6. Enable OAuth Consent for Users:

    • Navigate to "Azure Active Directory" > "Enterprise applications" > "User settings".
    • Ensure that the "Users can consent to apps accessing company data on their behalf" setting is enabled. If this setting is disabled, only admins can consent to the app.
  7. Notify Users:

    • Inform the relevant users that the OMNI app has been approved and is ready for use.
    • Provide instructions on how to sign in to the Entrata app (OMNI) and complete the OAuth sign-in process.
  8. Testing:

    • Have the users sign in to the OMNI app and verify that they can successfully complete the OAuth process for inbound and outbound emailing.
  9. Troubleshooting:

    • If users encounter issues, check the Azure AD sign-in logs for errors related to permissions or consent.
    • Ensure there are no conditional access policies or other security settings blocking the app.

By following these steps, the organization should be able to approve the OMNI app for use with Microsoft 365, enabling users to perform OAuth for inbound and outbound emailing.
